This is a classic horse portrait of a gelding named Rocky. Rocky belonged to a friend and was spending his golden years relaxing in a large valley pasture in Northern Utah. We spruced Rocky up and took some formal portraits at the entrance to his barn. He was a champ throughout the whole photo shoot and loved the extra attention. Rocky passed on about a year later and I'm glad we were able to capture these photos of him before he left this world.
This photo works well in formal and traditional spaces. The black and white easily complements any color scheme as well.
